- 1 cup black rice
- 2 cups water

- Salt and pepper to taste

Method
- Rinse the black rice in a fine mesh strainer and set aside.

- Add the diced tomato and squid ink to the pot and stir until well combined.

- Add two cups of water and bring the pot to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
- Simmer for 35-40 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let the rice sit for 5 minutes covered.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
