Ingredients

  • 2 cups of basmati rice

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Method

  1. Rinse the rice in a fine mesh strainer under cold running water for a few minutes until the water runs clear.

  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.

  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.

  8. In a large skillet, heat the chicken shawarma over medium-high heat until it is heated through and crispy.
  9. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and transfer it to a serving dish.
  10. Top the rice with the crispy chicken shawarma, chopped parsley, and chopped cilantro.
  11. Serve the dish with lemon wedges on the side.
