Method

  1. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

  4. In a frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

  9. Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and sugar. Fry for 1-2 minutes.
  10. Add the half-cooked rice to the frying pan. Mix everything together.
  11. Cover the frying pan with a lid and cook for 10-15 minutes on low heat until the rice is fully cooked.
  12. Garnish the Bengali Fried Rice with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
