Recipe Tips

To save time in the morning, you can prepare the beef and vegetables the night before and store them in the refrigerator. In the morning, simply add the beef mixture to the crock pot along with the broth and seasonings. You can also use leftover cooked rice instead of uncooked rice. Just add it to the crock pot about 15 minutes before serving to heat it up. For a thicker stew, you can mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and stir it into the stew during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
