Ingredients

Method

  5. Add milk to the pan and stir well.
  6. Simmer for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is cooked and the milk has thickened.
  7. Add sugar and cardamom powder and stir well.
  8. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the kheer has thickened to the desired consistency.
  9. Add chopped nuts and stir well.
  10. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  11. Basmati Rice Kheer is ready to serve.

  • Stir the kheer occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
