Place a small spoonful of the coconut-jaggery mixture in the center of the flattened dough ball. Seal the edges and roll it into a smooth ball. 5. In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the stuffed balls to the oil, a few at a time. Fry until golden brown, turning occasionally. 6. Remove the fried balls with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. 7. Serve Boorelu hot or cold as per your preference.

Notes

Boorelu can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. To reheat, place them in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes until crispy.
